One-A-Day: Minnesota Wild

Minnesota Wild

And you thought that the San Jose Sharks were a changed team. Chuck Fletcher really let fly this offseason, trading everyone within a fifty-mile radius and some for even draft picks.

We're not knocking his style but it's a lot of change in such a short amount of time. We can only hope for Wild fans that this is a good strategy.

Gone is Brent Burns. Gone is Andrew Brunette. Gone is Martin Havlat. Gone is James Sheppard. Gone is Todd Richards.

In is Dany Heatley. In is Devin Setoguchi. In is draft picks. In is Mike Yeo.

We are extremely intrigued to see Yeo in the hot seat now as the Wild coach. It's going to be interesting to see what he can do as a head coach.

This is a team that's being built for now and for scoring. Finally. We've always wondered what the Wild would need to become a scoring team. It might be fun watching them this season.

Player we don’t love - Dany Heatley

The Wild aren't terribly ugly or unfortunate looking but they are not beauty queens by any stretch of the imagination.

We gave a point for Stoner, another for Kyle 'Hot' Brodziak, another point for Nick Schultz and the last two points for how awesome Mikko Koivu is and if he was on a team that got any national recognition then he would be at every All Star game.
