It's All About The News

- Milan Lucic played with a broken toe and a sinus infection and still won the Cup. That's a champ.


- The Montreal Canadiens signed Max Pacioretty to a two-year deal. We're sure that he tweeted about it.


- The Perfect Human will be back in Detroit for one more season. It will be his 20th.


- The salary cap will be raised to 64 million dollars for the 2011-2012 season. Daaaamn, that's a lot of money.


- The New York Rangers will play an exhibition game in Gothenburg against the Frolunda Indians, Henrik Lundqvist's old team.


- Scott Gordon and Greg Cronin were named as the new assistant coaches for the Toronto Maple Leafs.


- Former coach of the former Atlanta Thrashers, Craig Ramsay will not be the new coach of the Winnipeg team. They're still looking for a coach.



- The Columbus Blue Jackets have hired Todd Richards, former Minnesota Wild Coach, as their new assistant coach.


- The San Jose Sharks are not re-signing Scott Nichol, Niclas Wallin and Jamal Mayers. Hmm, interesting decision.


- It is no secret that Jaromir Jagr wants to return to the NHL. The teams that are rumored to be in the mix are Pittsburgh and Detroit. Interesting as well.


- In NHL.com's mock draft, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins was the unanimous number one pick. He's gonna have one awesome Rookie Booze Cruise after the draft.


- And most important news today happened at the Board of Governors meeting. First, was the approval of the team in Winnipeg and second, they approved two new rules governing head shots.
