Hockey Is Never Over

- The St. Louis Blues re-signed Vladimir Sobotka to a three-year deal worth 3.9 million dollars.


- Scott Howson, GM of the Blur Jackets, wants to re-sign Jan Hejda and also wants to make some deals.


- The Minnesota Wild have named Mike Yeo as their new head coach. Like Macke said to us, "At least the Oilers don't have to worry about the Wild's power play doing much damage." Oh, burn.


- The Dallas Stars have also hired a new coach, promoting Glen Gulutzan from their AHL team. (thanks to Shanny for the link)


- In smaller news, the Calgary Flames hired a new goaltending coach in the form of Clint Malarchuk.

- Jaromir Jagr wants to come back to the NHL and his agent is planting the idea in the heads of NHL GMs of bringing him back.


- The cover-boy for NHL'12 will be revealed at the Awards show on the 22nd. We are beyond excited. Who do you think it will be?


- Speaking of the NHL Awards, Dierks Bentley and Far East Movement will perform. Should be interesting...


- The Flyers have begun talks with Ilya Bruzgalov, hoping to sign him before July 1st.


- The Devils have elected to take Zach Parise to salary arbitration.


- Shea Weber and the Nashville Predators seem to be going the same way but for completely different reasons.


Stanley Cup News:

- Here is an article about the rioting that happened in Vancouver after the Canucks lost. The Canucks believe that their 'true fans' were not to blame for this destruction.

- HNIC had the annual 'get to know your newly minted Stanley Cup winners' and it's fun to see the players and who their heroes were.


- Milan Lucic won the Cup on his home turf, being from Vancouver and all.

- Down Goes Brown has a period by period recap of the Stanley Cup Finals for every game. As always, it's freaking hilarious.

- Brad Marchand had quite a rookie season that was capped off by scoring two goals in the Cup final.

- In case you were wondering, here is the 'real' audio of Tum Thomas in the handshake line. It's pretty funny.

- Someone had the foresight to tape Tyler Seguin dancing in the locker room and put it on YouTube.

Yes.

- Cam Neely got the Cup, yay!

- It is official now, Mark Recchi can finally retire and as a champion.

- Tim Thomas received the Conn Smythe and the Stanley Cup and said 'shut it' to all of the haters after quite a season.

- Social media outlets like twitter and tumblr were urging people to help catch the rioters in Vancouver by submitting pictures and names of known people who were causing the destruction.

- Dan Hamhuis will need surgery for his injuries but Christian Ehrhoff doesn't have to.

- The Bruins returned to Boston with the Cup around nine in the morning on Thursday. They were all still probably drunk.

- The Bruins, specifically Patrice Bergeron, Zdeno Chara and Tim Thomas ended up in New York City with the Cup to visit The Today Show and the NHL Store.


- The Bruins parade happened today and we will have a recap of sorts going on tomorrow!
