Quarterfinals: Day Six

#2 Philadelphia Flyers / #7 Buffalo Sabres

Flyers lead series 2-1 after a 4-2 win in Buffalo

Brian Boucher was the beast that the Flyers needed him to be.

Including the play that we think turned the game around.

It was a 5-on-3 and Ennis hit him in the facemask with a puck and Boucher just flipped the broken mask off and stopped play and the Sabres momentum. Nice play, veteran. Nice play...

And the Flyers big line came up huge with three points when the Flyers needed it the most.

For the Sabres, Marc-Andre Gragnani was everywhere. Every time we looked on the ice at some awesome play made, it was #17 doing it.

Good job, rook.

#4 Pittsburgh Penguins / #5 Tampa Bay Lightning

Penguins lead series 2-1 after a 3-2 win in Tampa

Kris Letang finally had the game that we thought he should have had when this play offs started. He had two assists and was a huge part of the game-winning goal.

Martin St. Louis of course showed up with two goals.

But Tyler Kennedy wouldn't be put down.

If we ever lose him or Craig Adams we will defect to another team.

#3 Boston Bruins / #6 Montreal Canadiens

Habs lead series 2-1 after a 4-2 win for Boston in Montreal

Carey Price was eh.

David Krejci, Milan Lucic and Nathan Horton decided to stop fondling each other enough to score some goals.

Finally.

And the return of Zdeno Chara was gigantic for the Bruins' psyche.

(Excuse the pun, hehe.)

#3 Detroit Red Wings / #6 Phoenix Coyotes

Wings lead series 3-0 after a 4-2 win in Phoenix

Does this get any older? We know how dominant the Wings are so do they have to go and flaunt it by scoring less than two minutes in? Just flaunting it.

Cruel.

We feel bad for Phoenix. It's like they're just drowning the whole series. And they can't even blame this failure on loss of Shane Doan like they did last season.

Can you even think of a more boring Conference Final than Detroit vs Vancouver. Yawn!
