Quarterfinals: Day Four

#3 Detroit Red Wings / #6 Phoenix Coyotes

Red Wings have a stranglehold 2-0 series lead after a 4-3 win

It's gonna take a miracle for the Coyotes to win a game let alone the series. The Red Wings are just mechanical in their pursuit of the Cup.

But there was a chink in the armor yesterday when the Coyotes scored three goals, two by Shane Doan alone on the power play.

The Wings were up 4-0 when the collapse happened.

Time was the Coyotes enemy.

Along with Pavel Datsyuk who had another monster game with his hand in all four Wings goals.

#2 Philadelphia Flyers / #7 Buffalo Sabres

Series tied 1-1 after a 5-4 win for the Flyers

Just like the Predators/Ducks game the night before, this one was back and forth hockey from the start.

There were also thirty thousand penalties, seriously every time someone had the puck the whistle would blow. It was ridiculous.

Sergei Bobrovsky was pulled in favor of Brian Boucher after he let in 3 goals on seven shots.

This is bad news for the Sabres.

#3 Boston Bruins / #6 Montreal Canadiens

Canadiens lead series 2-0 after a 3-1 win for the Habs

Carey Price made 34 saves in the win and was all over the rebounds.

It must be frustrating for the Bruins. And their fans.

What really killed the Bruins was the timing of the goals.

Michael Cammalleri scored just forty-three seconds into the game and then Tim Thomas let in a goal after Patrice Bergeron scored to pull the Bruins within one.

That was killer.

#2 San Jose Sharks / #7 Los Angeles Kings

Series tied 1-1 after a 4-0 win for the Kings

Biggest story out of this game: Drew Doughty

Kid had four points and was a monster the whole game.

The Sharks took undisciplined penalties (we're looking at you Ryane Clowe) and the Kings power play made them pay for it.

That's the story of the play offs.
