Quarterfinals: Day Seven

#1 Vancouver Canucks / #8 Chicago Blackhawks

Canucks lead series 3-1 after a 7-2 Hawks win.

We were throwing in the towel for them. We are awful fans but do you blame us? The Canucks were just everywhere, playing like Detroit. The hit on Brent Seabrook was devastating to watch. The sudden "I'm ready to play" by Dave Bolland seemed like a ploy.

But we were wrong and have never been happier to say so.

Duncan Keith had a monster of a game.

Dave Bolland had four points and made an obvious difference.

We aren't giving up hope but with home ice now shifting to Vancouver, we don't have a lot left. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

#2 San Jose Sharks / #7 Los Angeles Kings

Sharks lead series 2-1 after another OT win, except this time it was 6-5

The Kings were comfortable. They were in their own building.

They held a 4-0 lead over the Sharks who are notorious for being awful in the post-season.

But then something happened.

Patrick Marleau scored. And that opened the flood gates. It was tied before the game was over and Devin Setoguchi scored the winner three minutes into overtime.

Jeez Louise. That was a stunner, eh?
