What Happened After Free Agent Frenzy

We have compiled a list of links to the signings and trades that happened in the weekend after the crazies free agency we've seen in a while.


- Hurricanes signed Anthony Stewart to a two-year deal.

- Capitals signed Chris Bourque to a one-year deal.

- Michal Handzus signed with the San Jose Sharks for a two-year deal.

- Lightning signed Matt Gilroy to a one-year contract.

- Ruslan Fedotenko re-signed with the Rangers for a one-year deal.

- Tim Connoly signed a two-year contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

- Kings signed Simon Gagne to a two-year deal. Now it's okay for us to like him, finally.

- There was a trade between the Nashville Predators and the Toronto Maple Leafs that had the Preds giving up Cody Franson and Matt Lombardi for Brett Lebda and Robert Slaney.

- Then the Preds signed Niklas Bergfors to a one-year deal worth 575,000.

- Capitals signed Tomas Vokoun to a one-year contract.

- Sabres re-signed Mike Weber to a multi-year deal.

- Brett Sterling signed with the St. Louis Blues.

- Oilers signed their 2011 pick, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins to am entry level deal.

- And biggest coup of the weekend was the San Jose Sharks trading Dany Heatley to the Minnesota Wild for Martin Havlat. Looks like a revolution in San Jose.
